For Dorothy
Tannahill-Moran, she benefits as much from giving a VST session as her
clients. "One of the reasons I sought out VST was because I have a
neurological vocal cord disorder called Spasmodic Dysphonia," she
explained. "I find my voice and body perform better when I do things
that reduce stress and VST seriously helps."
As a means of paying it forward, Dorothy donates her proceeds to the National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association.
She
took the March 2018 class in Lincoln NE and has been practicing
officially since last May. Her favorite part of class was the
information she learned about VST.
"The class covered things I
would have never thought of like harmonics and listening for the
harmonics in a bowl," she said. "Understanding that some bowls like
crystal bowls have a single note and that while all vibrational sound is
great, certain bowls are better for therapeutic purposes and others for
large spaces."
Serving the Kansas City area, Dorothy also offers
post-session intuitive readings. She advises those interested in taking
a VST course to "do it!"
"As a VS therapist, I gain benefit
even when I give someone a VS session," Dorothy explained. "I also get a
thrill from seeing someone who finished a session in amazement at how
it made them feel. It never gets old."
